Starting from the real
need of constructing the Suburban Tourism Base and High-tech
Park, Hauirou makes great efforts in developing advantageous
industries combined with its own characteristics. Huairou also
put emphasis on environmental protection and urges the adjustment
of inner structure and industrial deployment. So far, Huairou
has formed its four leading industries, namely they are, food
and beverage production, packaging and printing, auto and auto
parts industries, and new type building materials industry.
In 2004, the whole district had a total industrial sales income
of RMB 6 billion Yuan, profit of RMB 1.36 billon Yuan, taxes
income of RMB1236 million Yuan.
(1) Beverage production

Based
on the environmental and water resources advantages, Huairou
has well developed its beverage production industry; a
lot of products are manufactured here, such as Dove chocolates,
Red Bull Vitamin Drink, President Drink and Robust Drinking
Water. Over 80 enterprises have been resettled in Huairou,
making an annual output of 1,000,000tons. |
(2) Auto and auto parts
| By
now, 34 enterprises have been engaged into auto and auto
parts industry, having an annual output of over RMB 6
billion Yuan and 5200 employees. The famous ¡®Foton¡¯ farm
truck and ¡®Auman¡¯ heavy truck are mainly produced in Huairou.

(3) Packaging and printing
About 70 enterprises are engaged in
the packaging industry matched with the beverage production
industry, possessing a total property of RMB 1.63 Yuan, 4135
employees, and annual output of RMB 8billion Yuan, pushing Huairou
to be the most powerful packaging base of north China.
